I walked in needing a quick alteration.
But what I witnessed reminded me why some businesses carry something greater than just skill.
It was early morning.
Their sewing machines were still off. The floor spotless. Fabric neatly folded. The air still fresh — not with the sound of scissors or chatter, but with something else.
Prayer.
They were standing in a circle — husband and wife, hand in hand. The team around them, heads bowed. No frenzy. No rush. Just reverence.
And it wasn’t for show. This wasn’t a staged moment. It was their rhythm.
Theirs is a tailoring business — a small room tucked away, yet running like a well-oiled machine. Organized. Structured. Every dress has a tag. Every order is recorded. Every detail attended to.
I’ve seen their setup.
I’ve seen their growth.
I’ve teased them about how they’ve become “big business people” now.
And they always say the same thing: “We have systems.”
And they do.
But today, I saw something else behind those systems. Something that no dashboard or KPI can track.
They invite God into their workflow.
As someone who has worked in management, I’ve read reports, led strategy reviews, chased after targets, streamlined operations.
I believe in planning. I believe in systems. I believe in balance.
But I also believe in this:
When you place your business, your team, your clients, and your craft before God — consistently, quietly — it shows. It sets the tone. It protects the atmosphere. It multiplies the effort.
That prayer? It’s part of their business strategy.
That unity? It’s a kind of capital that money can’t buy.
So today’s reflection is simple:
Yes, refine your systems.
Yes, track your numbers.
Yes, learn from the best.
But also — pray. Even in your workroom. Even in your boardroom.
Especially there.
