The Holding Space

October 3, 2025

Under the Shanda Initiative, we run a sacred space called The Holding Space. It is a small circle of 12 founding women who came together to build something emotionally honest, spiritually rooted, and deeply needed—a safe space for women.

I’ve worked with women in business for years. I know how to support the external wins: the proposals, the launches, the coaching. But I found myself wondering—who supports the woman when she puts the spreadsheets down? When she’s off the panel, off the podium, off the pitch?

So The Holding Space was born.

It’s been a few months now. Each month has a different program, each week a new rhythm. And each woman has a role to play. It’s a space with agenda and intention, but also freedom and faith.

This month is a little different.

Usually, I lead affirmations alone each morning. But this time, we agreed to start every day together, 6:00 a.m., as a group.

🕊️ Every morning, one of us leads. We whisper power into the day before the noise starts. We center ourselves before we serve the world.

Today is Day 3. I led the call.
We’re not just friends now—we’re anchors. We’re mirrors. We’re the silent nods behind each other’s courage.

This space is proof that healing is possible in community.
That women don’t have to compete to grow.
That softness and strength can live in the same room.

And that sometimes, the best boardroom—is a bedroom floor, a quiet phone call, and 12 women breathing faith into each other’s mornings.
