Until death removes you from this world, the reset button is still pressable.
And sometimes, it’s not just a new job—it’s a new mindset.
Every time I write about timelines, I receive an overwhelming response in my inbox.
Messages filled with stories—raw, honest, sacred stories—from people who are quietly carrying the weight of comparison.
People who feel behind.
People who are wondering if it’s too late.
People who are asking if a second chance is even allowed.
So, allow me to say this again, more clearly, more loudly—this time for your inner voice to believe it:
Until death removes you from this world, the reset button is still pressable.
But I’m not just talking about starting a new job or changing your wardrobe.
I’m talking about a deeper kind of reset.
A spiritual, mental, emotional realignment.
The kind that unlearns what never served you.
The kind that rewires the narrative your community, your family, and maybe even your church handed you.
Some of you were raised in homes where your worth was tied to achievements.
Where success had an age limit.
Where dreams had an expiry date.
Where peace was sacrificed on the altar of performance.
Where changing your mind was labelled “confusion.”
Where healing was seen as rebellion.
And so we grow up carrying timelines that do not belong to us.
We move through life pressured to “arrive” by 25, “settle” by 30, “thrive” by 35…
But whose timeline is that, really?
Let me tell you the truth:
You are allowed to stop.
To pause.
To think again.
To change your course.
To be 38 and still figuring it out.
To be 42 and finally choosing softness.
To be 50 and stepping into your calling for the very first time.
You are allowed to reset—without explaining yourself to anyone.
Because sometimes starting again means sitting with your thoughts, your faith, your truth.
It means questioning what you were taught and redefining what success means for you.
You don’t owe anyone an indicator.
You don’t need permission.
You don’t have to keep up with timelines that were designed to rush you, not grow you.
The reset button isn’t shameful.
It’s sacred.
So if you’ve been feeling the nudge…
If your chest tightens every time you see someone doing “what you should have done by now”…
If you’re quietly battling the guilt of changing your mind—
This post is for you.
Press the button.
And reset—your story, your pace, your life.
