A conversation became a movement. A movement has now become a podcast.

July 21, 2026

A few weeks ago, under Shanda Initiative, we started a simple online series called Shanda Women & Wealth.

The idea was straightforward.

To create a space where women could sit together and have intelligent conversations about money.

Not gossip.

Not trends.

Not appearances.

Money.

Investing.

Wealth creation.

Insurance.

Pensions.

Property.

Business.

Financial markets.

Estate planning.

The response reminded me that many women have been waiting for these conversations.

Today, I’m excited to share that Shanda Women & Wealth is growing beyond our online community.

We have recorded our very first podcast, and soon those conversations will reach even more people through the airwaves.

People often ask me why I am so passionate about this.

The answer is simple.

Because I have always wondered…

Why do we make conversations about money feel like they belong to someone else?

Why are we comfortable teaching women how to plan a wedding, but uncomfortable teaching them how to analyse an investment?

Why do we spend hours discussing relationships, yet hesitate to spend the same amount of time discussing wealth creation?

Is there anything wrong with a wife understanding a balance sheet?

Is there anything wrong with a mother knowing how to evaluate an investment opportunity?

Is there anything wrong with a woman understanding concepts like positive and negative net present value before investing in a business?

I don’t believe there is.

In fact, I believe these conversations strengthen families, businesses, and communities.

One of the questions I asked while writing about the boy child has stayed with me:

When did we reduce the idea of “provider” to financial provision alone?

Provision is broader than income.

It is wisdom.

Stewardship.

Planning.

Decision-making.

Vision.

And I believe those are conversations both men and women should be equipped to have.

My hope for this podcast is simple.

I want us to normalise women sitting around a table for two hours discussing wealth with the same enthusiasm that we discuss weddings.

I want young women to grow up knowing that understanding investments is just as valuable as understanding relationships.

I want mothers to feel confident discussing portfolios, pensions, insurance, business strategy, and financial planning.

I want financial literacy to become part of our everyday conversations, not an intimidating subject reserved for boardrooms.

This podcast is not about replacing anyone.

It is about expanding the conversation.

Because when more women understand money, they make more informed decisions.

When families have richer financial conversations, they build stronger futures.

And when knowledge is shared, generations benefit.

This is just the beginning.

Welcome to Shanda Women & Wealth.

Let’s have the conversations that build wealth, wisdom, and legacy.
